1. Overview

AntiRecsys is a mindful browsing and focus tool. We operate on a "Local First" principle — your data never leaves your device. We have no servers, no cloud database, and no analytics that track your identity or behaviour remotely.

2. Data We Store Locally

The following data is stored exclusively on your device using the device's secure local storage (AsyncStorage on both iOS and Android). It is never transmitted to us or any third party:

  • Your selected topics and any custom topics you create
  • The social or job platform you last used
  • Your session history (start time, duration, topic) — for your personal analytics only
  • Focus Timer preferences (duration selected)
  • Notification on/off preference
  • Whether onboarding has been completed

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
  • Device identifiers (IDFA, GAID, etc.)
  • Location data
  • Contacts, camera, or microphone data
  • Browsing history within third-party apps
  • Any data for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes

4. Notifications

Notifications: We request notification permission solely to show you session reminders and quick-action controls after you explicitly start a Focus Dive. Notifications are never sent without your direct action. You can disable them at any time in the Settings tab or your device's Settings app.

We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or any other sensitive device permissions.

5. Third-Party Platforms

When you tap to open a platform (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, Reddit), the app uses an official public deep link or URL to launch that platform. We do not inject content, modify feeds, or monitor your activity once you leave AntiRecsys. The third-party platform's own privacy policy governs your activity there.

6. App Tracking Transparency

AntiRecsys does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission is requested because we do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
